  1. We are looking for someone to do RF / EMF testing on a Class-D amplifier (our MA220, 5 channel, 250 PA Amplifier) for the purpose of CE Certification in order to export to Europe. If this is something that you are familiar with and can do, please contact me.

    Stephen Chauvin

  2. Hello. I just read your article “Using the Wrong EMF Meter for Home Inspections: A Case Study in Professional Judgment”. Very informative. Thank you. I was about to buy the Trifield meter but not now. I am an engineer and I hate grossly inaccurate devices.

I would like to purchase an EMF meter to measure EMF coming out of computers in my home, especially laptops. Can I pay you for some of your time to help me select a basic one?

    Thank you.

    Dennis Pasadis

    1. Mr. Pasadis,

Thank you very much for utilizing ScanTech’s experience in EMF testing to assist you in choosing an appropriate meter!

We hope that you benefit from what you learn in your own personal surveys and we are available for further consultation on electromagnetic fields based on what you find.

  3. I am Georg Raithel, a professor of Physics at the University of Michigan.

I am part of a research team that is developing new sensor technologies for electromagnetic fields, including RF, microwave, THz, DC-magnetic. We are currently funded by the NSF to explore industry applications of our technologies.

Our team is aware of your work in EMF & Powerline Consulting, particularly RF surveying, EMI, and magnetic sensing/shielding. We believe that your input and advice will help guide our research efforts. Is there someone, perhaps a technical point of contact who would be willing to speak to us? We are currently in Houston for today and the next few days and would very much welcome the opportunity to come visit (we are here today and tomorrow). In any case, we would be very interested in talking about your views and aspects of what makes a particularly useful RF / EMC / EMI / DC magnetic sensor.

    1. I am an Energy Auditor and Consultant. Every once in a while I get a call asking for detailed air quality testing to determine the content of a pollutant in a home. Is there a particular person that I should refer these people to?

I have a device that can measure particles that helps me with home dust and pollutant issues, but I can’t tell what the content is.

      1. Actually, you might send us in as we do sample collections for indoor air quality testing in the Dallas / Fort Worth area as well as direct photo-microscopic analysis of particles and respond to issues of medical illness that are suspected to have environmental causes. I have a strong background in microscopy and advanced microbiology.

    2. Dr. Raithel,

It was a pleasure speaking with you today about the needs of professional, certified EMF inspectors in terms of cutting edge radio frequency / magnetic field detection and EMF testing equipment!

We look forward to future developments with your project in terms of using it for possible applications for locating electromagnetic interference with respect to biomedical equipment or implants such as pacemakers / ICD / EKG / EEG and other market sectors such as the cellular, wireless and RFID industries.

      Best Regards,

  4. We are looking for Scanning electron Microscope Enclosure Electromagnetic interference cancellation system. Please send your email so i can send RFQ.

    1. Binta Menger,

Please send the details and specifications of your Scanning Electron Microscope Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) tolerances and we will take a look. Do you presently have an issue with the room that requires a survey / inspection / testing / mitigation or is this a safety measure?

      JAG of ScanTech Technical Consulting

  5. Hello my husband and I recently purchased a TempurPedic mattress a few months ago. I came across several articles talking about how harmful they are, due to the polyurethane and gases like formaldehyde. I’m concerned about that. Our little one sleep with us a lot. I noticed the smell when we first received it but not so much anymore. Do I have anything to be concerned about? Are there any precautions I should take? Thank you so much for your time. I know how busy you are, but wasn’t sure who else to ask. Plus I trust your opinion. Thanks again!

    1. Hello Jennifer,

It sounds like the mattress has out-gassed the bulk of whatever chemical VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) was present given the lack of smell / odor and the time frame. (these chemicals typically have an exponential decay in concentration over time) Just be alert to signs of respiratory irritation / distress, apparent allergies / allergic reactions including rashes and also sleeping issues which could indicate either other indoor air quality issues or contact sensitivity.

See your doctor or other medical professional / physician if anything unusual arises or you spot a pattern.

I assume you sleep on cotton sheets or other bedding linen that has already been washed several times.

      JAG of ScanTech
